Untitled-2

It is planned for a creche, a school and a training college be built that will teach and develop the following skill sets:

  • The Creche is the first phase where young minds will be shaped and moulded, and encouraged to be the best they can be. That they are valuable and loved.
  • The word of God and His precepts shared.
  • Where people young and old are encouraged to find their purpose in life, that for which they were uniquely created.
  • Process of changing habits in order to have a different habitat. In order to have a different habitat different habits are required (from Glen Mcquirk).
  • Young people are encouraged and given life lessons that will enable them to understand that their futures can have a different outcome, through change in thinking patterns and behaviour.
  • Each child's natural talent will be developed and shaped to serve themselves and their community.
  • People who love to work with their hands will be taught skills such as carpentry, tool making, sewing, baking etc.
  • Those whose talents lie in a different direction will be taught book keeping, administration, management, financial management, healthcare

Changing lives

  • Understanding our value in Christ is the central tenant to a changed life, being filled with the holy spirit changes our behaviour.
  • In rural areas Jesus is one of many Gods. Until the way the gospel is delivered in certain areas is changed, things will not change.
  • Jesus is the answer to all our problems, however discipleship and teaching the basics of bible study and developing spiritual leaders is key.
  • Spiritual and community leaders need to be developed in order for communities to see real change.
  • How do change a life where there seems to be so little hope. Patterns of behaviour are repeated over and over again. Alcohol and getting money for making a baby is a way of life for many young people.
  • It is believed that should one bring a large amount of work into a smallish community that is beset with the problems hereto spoken about , it would enable lives to be changed through the building and development of chreche's a primary and secondary school as well as a small technical college.
  • A Christian based education system will be introduced at all levels, and young Christian people who speak Zulu would be the teachers and caregivers.
  • Each individual will be assessed, and placed in an environment that will cater to their specific needs
  • The parents will be included in each step of the journey and encourage to seek their own individual purpose as well.

Why Project 1 million? What will be achieved?

  • In many rural areas, HIV/AIDs is rife, girls as young as 12 years old are pregnant.
  • Child headed households are becoming the norm.
  • Little or no access to work.
  • Functional illiteracy runs at approximately 75%.
  • There are few mentors to whom our young people can look up to.
